Membership Terms & Conditions
Snow Australia is the nationally and internationally recognised National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for competitive snowsports in Australia by virtue of its affiliations with the Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS), the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), Paralympics Australia (PA) and the recognition of Sport Australia (SA).
Snow Australia manages athlete pathways, conducts events and programs in Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Snowboarding, Para-alpine, Para-snowboard and specialty sub discipline activities within each.
Snow Australia has the overarching responsibility for the entire national athlete pathway, from entry level through to elite, across all disciplines. To meet this responsibility, Snow Australia engages with many different organisations including ski resorts, Federal & State Governments, State Sporting Organisations, Clubs, sporting institutes and industry peak bodies.
By proceeding with your Snow Australia Membership you acknowledge and accept the following Terms & Conditions, Declarations, Policies, Agreements, Waivers and Insurance Product Disclosure Statements.

The following waiver and release of liability must be read carefully by those members that are accessing any facilities at the NSTC (National Snowsports Training Centre) and/or programs.

All members that register with FIS are required to acknowledge the FIS Athlete Declaration. By completing this membership application you confirm that you have read and understand the following FIS Declaration.

The following waiver and release of liability must be read carefully by those members volunteering at any Snow Australia run event.
As a volunteer, you will also be required, at a minimum, to registered with Snow Australia, provide a current Working With Children Check (or state equivalent) inline with our Member Protection policy and, depending on your involvement, complete additional education and integrity requirements.

Snow Australia National Integrity Framework
The Snow Australia National Integrity Framework is one of Snow Australia's responses to the threats to the integrity of Snow Sports and sets out the broad expectations for the conduct of all Participants in Snow Sports, including procedures for managing, reporting, investigating and determining potential breaches of its Integrity Policies.
Snow Australia seeks to take a proactive approach to mitigate the integrity threats to Snow Sports in Australia and to provide a safe, fair, and trustworthy environment for all Participants at all levels of Snow Sports.
Threats to the integrity of sport includes the:
- manipulation of sporting competitions;
- improper use of drugs and medicine in sport;
- abuse of children and other persons in a sporting environment; and
- failure to protect Members and other persons in a sporting environment, from bullying, intimidation, discrimination, or harassment.
The Snow Australia National Integrity Framework is made up of the following documents and policies and applies to all members of Snow Australia.
- Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy;
- Member Protection Policy;
- Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy;
- Competition Manipulation and Sport Gambling Policy; and
- Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine Policy.

Thredbo Ski Racing Club
As a part of their membership renewal, each member (athletes and parents) will need to acknowledge that they have read and agreed to the following documents. Parents of minors (under 18 years at the time of membership renewal) will need to sign on behalf of their child.
